The Claddagh ring is a traditional Irish ring and represents love, loyalty, and friendship and was first produced in the 17th century and was wore with the intention of conveying the wearer’s relationship status and they are still worn today. In fact, mine was given to me as an engagement ring and I loved it so much that I also wear it as my wedding ring.
- Worn on the right hand with the point of the heart toward the fingertips means the wearer is single and looking for love.
- Worn on the right hand with the point of the heart towards the wrist means the wearer is in a relationship
- Worn on the left hand with the point of the heart pointed towards the fingertip means the wearer is engaged
- Worn on the left hand with the point of the heart pointed towards the wrist the wearer is married.
These make a perfect Valentine’s Day gift for a girlfriend or even a daughter.
